307th Bomb Group Mission Reports (Late 1943 to 1945)
It is our goal to assemble a complete record of all personnel who at one time served with the United States Army Air Corps, and the 13th Air Force during World War II, and the 307th Bomb Group. The records of the 307th BG have been obtained from declassified group mission reports which have been stored in the National Archives. These records have been requested by Pat Ranfranz, Dan B. Odenweller, and other dedicated members of the 307th Bomb Group Association. From this, a database is being developed which will allow for the search and retrieval of documents including pictures, intelligence reports, mission reports, activity reports, awards, and more from late 1943 to 1945. Over 4000 documents are currently available and the database will be updated each month.
Do you have 307th BG Related Documents, Pictures, etc?
Your legacy should not be lost in an attic, or stored in a garage, where it may later be disposed of as trash. Ask your children, your grand-children and even your great grand-children to participate in this effort to preserve your history. I believe they will share in an experience they will never forget. Please submit 307th Bomb Group information and pictures to: Patrick Ranfranz, 3165 Victoria St, Shoreview, MN 55126 or email: pat@307bg.org . Documents and photos will be returned on request.

Dan B. Odenweller has started the process to compiled the documents into a 307th Bomb Group Mission Report Database. Dan has been working on this project for a number of months and sends updates as he makes progress. The database file Dan has created contains a lot of helpful dates, locations, MACR numbers, and most importantly crew member names. The file names in Dan's database document correlate to the images on the following 20 pages.

DAN NOTE:
My goal was to permit a user to search the records by either i)name (pilot), ii) name (crew), or iii) aircraft number, so that one could avoid reading all of the individual files. Along the way, some notes were added, mission target, and a brief event description (why is this event noted).
The searcheable daatabase (spreadsheet) would lead to the image number (like 00654.tiff), which could then be read by the searcher.
